Two youth injured in ATV rollover

Two young girls have been hurt after an ATV rollover in Fort St. John.According to RCMP Constable Cole Forman, the two girls were riding together on an ATV going southbound in the ditch along 100 St. towards the Lookout early this afternoon. As they were riding they went over a driveway and hit a bump. The ATV then rolled over on top of them and rolled again, landing on its wheels.Forman says the girls are around 15 years old and suffered only minor injuries which he attributes to them both wearing CSA approved helmets, adding that their helmets appeared to be noticeably damaged from the accident.- Advertisement -“It could have been worse.”Two ambulances and two police cars were at the scene. Forman says the parents of both girls were at the scene as well, by the time the police arrived.Ashley Webb and Alex Seltenrich were driving by when they saw another car stopped and they stopped to offer assistance. PALMDALE – Two good Samaritans chased down thieves who stole a woman’s purse Monday in east Palmdale, and recovered all the stolen property, a sheriff’s official said. The incident occurred at 1:40 p.m. on a busy intersection at 25th Street East and Avenue S, Deputy Andy Lynch said. The thieves took off in a black Pontiac Sunfire, Lynch said. They either dropped or surrendered the stolen property before entering the vehicle, Lynch said. “It’s nice to know that there are still some good Samaritans in Palmdale who are willing to chase down bad guys to recover stolen property,” Lynch said.last_img
